How navigation is styled is very important for dyslexic users browsing the web. People with dyslexia have trouble with sequence of events, so it is important to make it clear what section the user is on, as well as how they arrived at that section. There are two ways to assist dyslexic users with navigation.
First, make sure that the navigation is clearly defined and separate from the content. For this site, the background of the navigation is a different color, and is given plenty of spacing from the content of the site.
Second, for more complicated navigation schemes, use a breadcrumb navigation. These give the user visual clues to the sequence of events, and allows them to find their way around the site much more easily. For example, structure the breadcrumb navigation as such:
